Publication of name of the company:
Every company incorporated under the companies Act, 1956 is required to publish its name by painting or affixing it on the outside of every office or place of business in a conspicuous position in easily legible characters in the language in general use in that locality. If the language employed is not the language or one of the languages in use in that locality, the name of the company is required to be painted or affixed also in that language or one of those languages in use in that locality. The company is also required to have its name mentioned in all its business letters, bill heads and letter papers and in all its notices and other official publications, negotiable instruments, orders for money or goods and in the bill of parcels, invoices, receipts and letter of credit of the company. Any failure to comply with these requirements renders the company and its officers in default liable for penal action.
